Both structure of water and its memory are recognized by scientific community as pseudoscientific concepts. Unfortunately, these concepts are firmly entrenched in minds of people. Films, interviews, advertising – everywhere there is information about the influence of water structure, about the effects associated with water memory. There are no serious scientific publications showing evidence of a long-term water structure existence. Based on the pseudoscientific concept of the structure of water, pseudoscientists operate on the concept of water memory. In obedience to fashion, pseudoscientists use in their reasoning idea of water structure. Trying to describe all possible miracles with the help of this concept (often these miracles are simply cooked-up). In crystallography, a structure is understood to mean such an arrangement of the atoms of the crystal lattice when one or another type of long-range order exists. This means that with a high probability we will find an atom at a distance multiple of one of the lattice periods (the lattice period is the distance between the nearest atoms in one direction or another). Water has only short-range order when we can talk about a certain distance between the nearest water molecules.
The structure (and, as a consequence, the long-range order) is observed only in the ice crystal lattice. The crystal lattice structure of ice is well understood. Concerning memory of water, pseudoscientists believe that water is able to remember curses, a person’s mood, thoughts, prayers, emotions. All this, of course, is not true. You can still find such a concept as energy-information exchange. With the help of this process, water supposedly exchanges information and / or energy with the environment and / or people. Of course, all this is fantasy. If this were so, then we would have technologies to use most of these opportunities. However, nothing of the kind is close. At the same time, it must be recognized that such pseudoscientific concepts distract people from the true problems: environmental and water pollution. Many bottled water enterprises have violated production culture, the technical conditions of production are also violated. The water supply system in many settlements is worn out partially or completely. People do not have a culture of water consumption.
